Terms of use

HackProof provides general educational guidance and a free safety-check tool. It is not a promise that you, an account, or a device is secure.

Permitted use

You may use HackProof to assess your own security practices and check passwords you are authorized to test. Do not use it to test, monitor, impersonate, or access another person’s accounts or data without permission.

No professional services

HackProof is not professional incident response, managed security, identity restoration, legal advice, financial advice, credit monitoring, insurance, or emergency service. Product outputs can be incomplete or wrong and require your judgment.

No guarantee

A strong foundation score or a “no match” password result does not prove safety. Breach corpora are incomplete, threats change, and security depends on systems outside HackProof’s control.

Third-party services

The password exposure check and email handoff use Have I Been Pwned, an independent service with its own terms and privacy practices. Links to Google, CISA, Microsoft, or other sources do not imply endorsement or affiliation.

No payment offer

The safety check is free. HackProof does not link to or operate a checkout and does not offer or promise a paid deliverable through this version.

Availability and changes

The service may change or be unavailable. Security-relevant errors should fail closed: if an exposure service cannot be reached, HackProof will not label a password clear.

Your responsibility

Keep control of credentials and recovery codes, verify official websites before signing in, and seek qualified help when risk or harm exceeds general self-service guidance.
